Stock Market Highlights, September 12

Domestic Indices Extend Gains: Indian benchmarks ended higher, with the Sensex up 0.44% at 81,904.70 and the Nifty 50 advancing 0.43% to 25,114.00. Bharat Electronics topped the gainers’ list with a 3.67% rise, followed by Bajaj Finance at 3.40% and Bajaj Finserv at 2.14%. HUL slipped 1.58%, while Eternal and Bajaj Auto declined 2.04% and 1.25%, respectively.

Global Cues Mixed: Asian markets closed mostly in the green, led by Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, which gained 1.16%, while Japan’s Nikkei climbed 0.89%. The Shanghai Composite, however, dipped 0.11%. European indices were mixed at mid-session—FTSE 100 added 0.27%, while the DAX, CAC 40, and STOXX 50 posted declines of 0.40%, 0.51%, and 0.38%, respectively.
