Choice International Share Price Rallies After ₹899 Crore Strategic Investment by NH Investment

Choice International share price climbed nearly 8% on Thursday after the company said its subsidiary, Choice Equity Broking Pvt. Ltd. (CEBPL), has signed definitive agreements with South Korea-based NH Investment & Securities Co. Ltd. for a strategic investment of ₹899 crore.
The company informed stock exchanges that NH Investment & Securities will subscribe to more than 42 lakh compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) of Choice Equity Broking. The proposed investment will be made subject to the agreed terms and applicable regulatory conditions. Choice International also clarified that the transaction will not result in any change in the control or management of its broking subsidiary.
Capital to Support Business Expansion
Choice International said the fresh capital will be used to strengthen the growth of its financial services business.
The company plans to deploy the funds towards expanding its Margin Trading Facility (MTF) book, upgrading technology infrastructure, increasing customer acquisition, enhancing product offerings, developing talent and scaling operations.
The announcement supported investor sentiment, with Choice International share price trading at around ₹829 during the session, reflecting gains of nearly 8%.
According to the company, India’s capital markets continue to witness higher retail participation, increasing digital adoption and greater investor awareness. It said the strategic partnership is expected to help accelerate growth across broking, wealth management, investment distribution and capital market businesses.
Growth Plans Over the Next Three Years
Choice International said CEBPL is targeting five-fold growth in its broking and distribution businesses over the next three years. The company added that the collaboration is expected to strengthen its digital capabilities, institutional business and customer offerings by combining its domestic market presence with NH Investment & Securities’ global expertise and technology capabilities.
Choice International said the partnership is aimed at creating long-term value while enabling the company to benefit from opportunities emerging in India’s expanding financial services sector. The company noted that the capital infusion would provide additional financial flexibility to pursue its planned expansion.

In the company’s statement, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Arun Poddar said the investment reflects the confidence of a leading global financial institution in Choice International’s business model and long-term strategy. He added that NH Investment & Securities brings institutional experience, international market knowledge and digital capabilities that complement the company’s existing strengths.
NH Investment & Securities President and Chief Executive Officer Shin Jae Wook said the investment forms part of the firm’s efforts to strengthen its global business portfolio. He stated that the partnership with Choice Group is intended to combine the strengths of both organisations to develop financial services and support sustainable long-term growth.
The transaction represents a strategic capital infusion into Choice Equity Broking while allowing the existing ownership and control structure of the subsidiary to remain unchanged.
