The inflows helped push the total assets under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry to ₹82 trillion in February, up from ₹81 trillion in January, according to AMFI data. Equity schemes had recorded net inflows of ₹24,028 crore in January.
Flexi-Cap Funds Lead Equity Inflows
Among equity categories, flexi-cap funds recorded the highest net inflows during February. According to AMFI data, flexi-cap funds attracted ₹6,924.65 crore during the month. Mid-cap funds followed with inflows of about ₹4,003 crore, while small-cap funds received ₹3,881 crore.

However, Equity Linked Savings Schemes (ELSS) recorded a net outflow of ₹650 crore during the month, according to the industry data.
Overall Mutual Fund Flows Moderate
The mutual fund industry recorded overall net inflows of ₹94,530 crore across categories in February. This was lower than the net inflows of ₹1.56 trillion recorded in January, according to AMFI.
Debt mutual funds attracted net inflows of ₹42,106 crore during the month under review, compared with ₹74,827 crore recorded in January.
Gold ETF Inflows Decline
Gold exchange-traded funds also recorded inflows during February, although at a lower level than in previous months.
According to AMFI data, gold ETFs received net inflows of ₹5,255 crore in February. This compares with inflows of ₹24,040 crore recorded in January and ₹11,647 crore in December.
Industry officials indicated that market developments, including global economic trends and trade-related developments between India and the United States, influenced investor participation in equity mutual funds during the month.
The increase in equity fund inflows and the rise in total industry assets under management reflect continued investor allocation toward mutual fund investment products across different asset categories in February, according to the data released by AMFI.
