Additionally, net profit for the period increased by 22%, climbing to ₹1,510.5 crore from ₹1,236.7 crore the previous year.

Hindustan Aeronautics has been in focus under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's push for self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat), helping the company bag major defence and manufacturing orders. In May this year, in the run up to general elections, Modi highlighted the impressive performance of PSU stocks citing the example of HAL. “Look at HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd) — it has posted record profit in the fourth quarter of ₹4,000 crore,” he said.

Following the recent earnings announcement, shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) have risen by 0.6%, currently trading at ₹4,091. Despite a 28% decline from their July peak of ₹5,674, HAL's stock has appreciated by 45% year-to-date.
