ITC Dividend Record Date Tomorrow; May 26 Last Day To Buy Shares For ₹8 Payout

ITC shares traded slightly lower on Tuesday ahead of the company’s dividend record date scheduled for May 27.

The stock declined as much as 0.57% to ₹302.25 apiece on the BSE during early trade.

The cigarette-to-FMCG major had earlier announced a final dividend of ₹8 per equity share with a face value of Re 1 for FY26. The dividend is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for July 23.

According to the company, the dividend payment will be made between July 24 and July 29.

Under the T+1 settlement mechanism, investors purchasing ITC shares on May 26 are expected to receive the shares in their demat accounts by May 27, making them eligible for the dividend payout. Investors buying the stock on or after May 27 will not qualify for the final dividend.

ITC FY26 Dividend, Q4 Earnings In Focus

With the latest announcement, ITC’s total dividend payout for FY26 has reached ₹14.50 per share. The company had earlier declared an interim dividend of ₹6.50 per share in January 2026.

ITC announced the final dividend along with its March quarter earnings on May 21.

The company reported a standalone net profit of ₹5,113 crore for Q4FY26, marking a 5% increase compared to ₹4,875 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations rose 17% year-on-year to ₹21,695 crore from ₹18,495 crore.

ITC’s cigarettes segment posted revenue growth of nearly 32% year-on-year at ₹11,066.02 crore during the quarter. The company continued to report volume-led growth despite higher taxes on cigarettes that came into effect from February 1, 2026.

ITC Share Price Performance

ITC shares have remained under pressure in recent months despite the improvement in quarterly earnings.

The stock has declined 4% over the last three months and is down 16.66% on a year-to-date basis. ITC shares have fallen 25% in the last six months and nearly 31% over the past one year. At around 10:25 AM on Tuesday, ITC shares were trading lower on the BSE.
