Petrol, Diesel And CNG Prices Unchanged; Check Fuel Prices Across Cities On July 27

The prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG were unchanged in India on July 27, 2026, as the OMCs and city gas companies did not revise their fuel prices in their fuel price revision every day. Fuel prices are revised every day at 6 a.m., however, depending upon the dynamics of global oil market and the policies of the government.

The latest petrol price, diesel price and CNG rates show no movement from the previous day across major cities. Hyderabad continued to have the highest petrol price among the cities listed, while Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest diesel price.

City gas distributors also maintained CNG prices across key markets. CNG was priced at ₹83.09 per kg in New Delhi, ₹86 per kg in Mumbai, ₹82.25 per kg in Ahmedabad, ₹91.70 per kg in Gurgaon and Noida, ₹90 per kg in Bengaluru, ₹90.91 per kg in Jaipur, ₹91.50 per kg in Chennai, ₹92.50 per kg in Pune, ₹93.50 per kg in Kolkata, ₹95.75 per kg in Lucknow and ₹97 per kg in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Tops Petrol Price, Thiruvananthapuram Highest For Diesel

Among the cities tracked, Hyderabad continued to report the highest petrol price at ₹115.69 per litre, followed by Thiruvananthapuram at ₹115.49 per litre. Chandigarh was still the most economical market for petrol at ₹98.10 per litre, followed by Lucknow and New Delhi with comparative lower prices at ₹102.05 and ₹102.12 per litre, respectively.

For diesel, Thiruvananthapuram retained the highest diesel price at ₹104.40 per litre, ahead of Hyderabad at ₹103.82 per litre. Chandigarh continued to record the lowest diesel rate at ₹86.09 per litre.

Recent Fuel Price Revisions

Retail fuel prices were raised by around ₹7.5 per litre earlier following higher crude oil costs amid tensions in West Asia. Separately, the government increased the export duty on diesel to ₹14 per litre from ₹13.5 per litre and raised the levy on aviation turbine fuel (ATF) exports to ₹12.5 per litre from ₹9.5 per litre, while keeping the export duty on petrol unchanged at ₹1.5 per litre, as per a government notification.

Domestic LPG prices were also revised earlier this month, with the price of a 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi increasing by ₹29 to ₹942. Commercial LPG cylinder prices were raised from June 1, while CNG prices in Mumbai had previously been increased by ₹2 per kg to ₹86. Domestic PNG prices were also revised higher by 50 paise to ₹52 per standard cubic metre.

The daily revision mechanism remains in place, with OMCs and city gas distributors continuing to review retail fuel prices every morning based on prevailing market conditions and applicable government levies.
