Airline Stocks After DGCA Refund Norms
Shares of InterGlobe Aviation and SpiceJet may remain in focus after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation revised Civil Aviation Requirements related to ticket refunds.
Under the updated norms, passengers can cancel or modify tickets within 48 hours of booking without additional charges, subject to specified conditions. Airlines are also barred from charging extra fees for correcting a passenger’s name if the error is reported within 24 hours of booking and the ticket was purchased directly through the airline’s website, as per the regulator’s notification.
