On January 16, Infosys, ICICI Prudential AMC, HDB Financial Services, Zydus Lifesciences, Shriram Finance, Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services, and Transrail Lighting all received attention due to Q3 results and other key developments. Companies that reported earnings today include Reliance Industries, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra, while HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank will report earnings tomorrow. The focus is mainly on the IT, Finance and Pharma sectors.
Although Infosys' profit fell 2.2% to ₹6,654 crore, its revenue increased by 8.9% to ₹45,479 crore. The company has also increased its guidance for FY26 constant currency growth from 3% to 3.5%.

ICICI Prudential AMCs profit increased 45.1% to ₹917.1 crores with 23.5% increase in income. Interim dividends were declared at ₹14.85 per share. Profits increased by 36.3% to ₹643.9 crore at HDB Financial, which had a 22% increase in revenue. NET profit of Jio Financial fell 8.75% to ₹268.98 crore on 10.7% higher total income, with net assets currently valued at ₹19049 crore.
The profit of L&T Technology fell 6.1% to ₹302.6 crore. Waaree Renewable Energy's profit increased by 124.7% to ₹120.2 crore, and it approved the development of an 80 MW solar park.
Major Corporate Updates
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted Zydus Lifesciences approval to produce Eltrombopag tablets, and Zydus Lifesciences acquired Agenus's biologic manufacturing facility. Biocon raised ₹4150 crores through Qualified Institutional Placements to purchase the Viatris business. Transrail Lighting secured orders amounting to ₹527 crores, increasing their anticipated inflow in FY26 to ₹5637 crores.
Shareholders of Shriram Finance have approved the issuance of equity to MUFG Bank and have made payments to the promoters. RailTel secured a project worth ₹8866 million from the Central Railway and Premier Energies, and others continue to accumulate momentum.

Small Cap World Fund has sold its 2.48% interest in Aavas Financiers for ₹282.81 crore, while HDFC MF bought the same quantity. As for IndiaMART, Small Cap World Fund sold 1.04% of shares to the company for ₹132.17 crore, while Nalanda India purchased 1.86% of shares for ₹236.05 crore.
The F&O ban continues to impact Sammaan Capital and SAIL.TCS and HCL Technologies announced ex-dividend trades, while Best Agrolife has announced an ex-split and ex-bonus issue.
