Global Cues Support Market Sentiment

Indian markets have opened on a higher note, with markets in the Asia-Pacific region moving higher on April 1 after easing geopolitical tensions.. South Korea’s KOSPI rose 5%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 3.51%, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 increased 1.76%.

In the U.S., major indices recorded strong gains in the previous session. The S&P 500 index increased by 2.91%, the Nasdaq Composite rose by 3.83%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 2.49%, its biggest percentage gain since May 2025. The rally followed statements from U.S. President Donald Trump indicating a possible de-escalation in the ongoing conflict with Iran.

Bharti Airtel Secures $1 Billion Investment

Bharti Airtel has secured an investment of $1 billion (over ₹8,300 crore) in its data centre subsidiary Nxtra Data from investors including Alpha Wave Global, Carlyle, and Anchorage Capital, according to company disclosures. The company will also participate in the funding round to expand its infrastructure footprint across India.
Adani Ports Crosses 500 Million Tonnes Milestone

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone reported that it has surpassed 500 million tonnes of cargo handling, marking a key operational milestone for the company, as per exchange filings.

PhysicsWallah Reports Strong Collections Growth

Education technology firm PhysicsWallah reported ₹205 crore in collections from its online segment during a 20-day campaign period, reflecting a 36% increase compared to the previous year, according to company data.
IndiGo Announces Leadership Change

IndiGo has appointed Willie Walsh, Director General of the International Air Transport Association, as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment follows the resignation of Pieter Elbers after operational disruptions, as per company statements.
