Indian markets may open lower on Thursday, February 12, 2026, as GIFT Nifty futures were quoting at 25,979.5, down 14.70 points or 0.06% at 7:25 AM, indicating a muted start.
In Asia-Pacific trade, Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.63% and crossed the 58,000 mark for the first time, while South Korea’s Kospi gained 3%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined 0.8%. In the U.S., the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.13%, the S&P 500 slipped 0.01%, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.16% overnight. U.S. non-farm payroll data showed job additions exceeded expectations, leading to reduced bets on faster rate cuts, according to official data.
Lenskart, Patanjali Foods Report Q3FY26 Earnings
Lenskart Solutions reported a net profit of ₹131 crore for Q3FY26, compared with ₹1.85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue rose to ₹2,307.7 crore from ₹1,668.8 crore, as per the company’s financial disclosure.
Patanjali Foods posted a profit of ₹593.4 crore in Q3FY26, up from ₹370.9 crore a year earlier. Revenue increased to ₹10,483.7 crore from ₹8,996.9 crore, according to its exchange filing.
SJVN reported a net profit of ₹224.31 crore for Q3FY26 versus ₹148.75 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations stood at ₹1,081.97 crore compared to ₹671 crore, based on company disclosures.
Hindalco Flags Impact From U.S. Facility Fire
Hindalco Industries said fire incidents at its Oswego, New York facility in September and November 2025 are estimated to have an impact of $1.3–$1.6 billion on total free cash flow, according to the company statement.
Vedanta Moves Court Over Tamil Nadu Order
The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board rejected Vedanta’s proposal to set up a green copper plant at the Thoothukudi Sterlite plant premises. Vedanta has approached the Madras High Court seeking relief against the order, according to a Business Standard report.
Market participants will also track broader earnings announcements scheduled for the December quarter, with multiple companies set to declare results during the session.
