Buying momentum remained broad-based on June 22, with 141 stocks hitting new 52-week highs on the exchanges, while only 19 securities slipped to fresh one-year lows, according to exchange data available at 12:08 pm.

Several large and mid-cap counters registered record levels, indicating sustained strength in select pockets of the market. Bharat Forge, Tata Communications, Kirloskar Oil Engines, Polycab India, Radico Khaitan, Nykaa, RBL Bank and Syngene International were among the notable names trading near lifetime peaks.

Manufacturing, Capital Goods and Defence Stocks Lead

Kirloskar Oil Engines emerged among the top performers, touching a fresh 52-week high of ₹2,389.80. Bharat Forge climbed to ₹2,062, while Happy Forgings and Krishna Defence & Allied Industries also recorded new highs.

Engineering and infrastructure-related counters remained active. Kalpataru Projects International reached ₹1,419, while VA Tech Wabag touched ₹2,069. Timken India, Lloyds Engineering Works and Centum Electronics also featured on the list.

Cable and electrical equipment companies continued their upward move. Polycab India scaled ₹10,126, RR Kabel touched ₹2,374, and Universal Cables hit ₹1,391 during the session.

Financial Stocks Extend Gains

Financial services companies maintained their positive trend. Aditya Birla Capital rose to a fresh high of ₹387, while Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC touched ₹1,224.90. Anand Rathi Wealth, Piramal Finance and RBL Bank were also among the stocks making new one-year highs. New India Assurance touched ₹218, while ESAF Small Finance Bank reached ₹37.20.

Consumer and Technology Counters See Buying Interest

Nykaa recorded a new 52-week high of ₹307. Tata Communications advanced to ₹2,110, while Syrma SGS Technology touched ₹1,357.

Consumer-facing companies such as Radico Khaitan, Goodluck India and Venus Pipes & Tubes also figured among the gainers. The Leela Hotels reached ₹511, while Sona BLW Precision Forgings touched ₹626.35.

Breadth Favors Advancing Stocks

Exchange data showed 160 securities either touched a fresh high or low during the session. Of these, 141 stocks marked new highs compared with 19 stocks that slipped to 52-week lows.

The list covered companies across manufacturing, finance, defence, infrastructure, consumer products and technology, pointing to participation from multiple sectors rather than a rally driven by a narrow set of stocks. With fresh highs outnumbering new lows by a wide margin, market breadth remained favourable during the session.
