Some stocks registered fresh 52-week highs on April 30 as investors continued to accumulate select stocks despite the absence of any market catalysts. Navin Fluorine International, Coal India, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), ONGC, Apar Industries, and HFCL stocks stayed off investors' radar as they hit new highs for the year.

Stocks performed on their own merits, supported by technical strength and momentum buying. Indices were seen trading volatily during the day.

Stocks Trading Above Key Moving Averages

The share price of Alivus Life increased by 3.50%, closing at ₹1,043.30, and stayed above the significant moving averages. Alivus Life continued trading above its 30-day moving average of ₹1,008.02, 50-day moving average of ₹970.28, 150-day moving average of ₹932

California Software climbed 17.62% to ₹14.35. The stock moved above its 30-day moving average of ₹12.20 but remained below longer-term averages, including the 50-day moving average of ₹12.63, 150-day moving average of ₹14.86, and 200-day moving average of ₹15.11.

CCCL gained 2.20% to ₹16.28 and traded marginally above its 30-day moving average of ₹15.93. However, the stock continued to remain below its 50-day, 150-day, and 200-day moving averages.

Rexpro Enterprises advanced 2.01% to ₹44.70. The stock traded above its 30-day moving average of ₹43.82 but stayed below its longer-term moving averages, reflecting short-term recovery.

Stocks Under Selling Pressure

Some counters remained under pressure during the session as they traded below major moving averages. Smarten Power Systems declined 4.64% to ₹54.05 and traded below its 30-day moving average of ₹56.68 along with its 50-day and 150-day moving averages.

Halder Venture fell 2.93% to ₹243.01 and remained below both its 30-day moving average of ₹250.35 and 50-day moving average of ₹252.50.

Lakshmi Precision Screws slipped 2.55% to ₹4.96. The stock traded below all key moving averages, including the 30-day, 50-day, 150-day, and 200-day averages.
Upper Circuit Stocks In Focus

California Software, Rollatainers, and R M Drip & Sprinklers Systems hit their upper circuit limits during the trading session, indicating strong buying activity in these counters.

Meanwhile, Navin Fluorine International, Coal India, MCX India, Apar Industries, Himadri Speciality Chemical, ONGC, HFCL, and Lloyds Metals and Energy remained among the major stocks that touched fresh 52-week highs on April 30.
