More than 100 shares made fresh 52-week highs at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on June 15. NSE data showed that 104 securities touched fresh one-year highs as of 11:15 a.m. IST, while 23 stocks slipped to new 52-week lows.
The list of stocks reaching fresh peaks included APAR Industries, Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Federal Bank, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, RBL Bank, Piramal Finance, Goldiam International and Paras Defence and Space Technologies.
Banking Stocks Among Key Contributors
Several banking stocks featured prominently among the securities hitting new yearly highs. Equitas Small Finance Bank touched ₹78.35, while Federal Bank rose to a fresh high of ₹320.70. Jammu & Kashmir Bank reached ₹163.20 and Karnataka Bank touched ₹282.95 during the session.
RBL Bank climbed to a new 52-week high of ₹375.15, while Bank of Maharashtra recorded a fresh peak of ₹91.10. South Indian Bank also entered the list after touching ₹48.55.
The number of both private and government-backed lenders among the new highs pointed to widespread involvement in the banking sector.
Stocks in the Industrial and Manufacturing Sectors Maintain Gains
Stocks from industrial and manufacturing firms made up a large percentage of the stocks hitting new annual highs. APAR Industries hit ₹16,174, breaking its previous high of ₹15,340 reached on June 12.
Avalon Technologies climbed to ₹1,765, while Aeroflex Industries reached ₹478. Ceigall India touched ₹390.40 and Syrma SGS Technology recorded a fresh high of ₹1,324.40. Talbros Automotive Components also featured on the list after reaching ₹385.85.
Other notable gainers included MSTC at ₹610.90, Rain Industries at ₹214.17 and RateGain Travel Technologies, which advanced to a new high of ₹842.95.
Pharma Stocks Continue To Feature
The pharmaceutical sector also witnessed strong representation among the stocks hitting fresh highs. Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals touched ₹635, exceeding its earlier peak of ₹634.
Orchid Pharma reached ₹970, while Cupid touched ₹164.85. NGL Fine-Chem Industries climbed to ₹3,200 and Senores Pharmaceuticals recorded a new yearly high of ₹1,307.80.
Market Breadth Remains Positive
Apart from large-cap and mid-cap counters, several small-cap and SME-listed companies also registered fresh highs. Kernex Microsystems touched ₹2,049, GVP Infotech reached ₹976 and SJS Enterprises climbed to ₹2,231.
According to NSE data, the number of stocks recording fresh highs substantially outpaced those hitting new lows. The trend points to continued strength across sectors including banking, pharmaceuticals, defence, engineering, electronics and industrial manufacturing, with buying activity remaining widespread across the broader market.
