L&T Reports Strong Growth in June Quarter

L&T posted a 17.05% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹1,468.6 crore for the June quarter from ₹1,254.6 crore a year earlier.

Revenue rose 17.96% to ₹11,608 crore compared with ₹9,840.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBIT climbed 27.9% to ₹1,799.3 crore from ₹1,406.5 crore, while the EBIT margin expanded by 120 basis points to 15.5% from 14.3%.

The company’s dollar revenue also increased 6.1% to $1,223.5 million from $1,153.3 million. The quarterly performance is likely to keep the L&T share price in focus.

Avenue Supermarts and L&T Finance Deliver Higher Profit

Avenue Supermarts reported a consolidated net profit of ₹860.4 crore for the June quarter, up 11.3% from ₹772.8 crore a year ago.

Revenue increased 14.9% year-on-year to ₹18,794.5 crore, while EBITDA rose 15.4% to ₹1,499.3 crore. EBITDA margin improved marginally to 7.97% from 7.94%. The Avenue Supermarts share price may react to the earnings announcement.

L&T Finance also reported healthy quarterly growth. Consolidated profit rose 28.7% to ₹902.5 crore compared with ₹701.1 crore in the year-ago period, while net interest income grew 28.4% to ₹2,924.8 crore from ₹2,278.8 crore.

Business Updates

Adani Green Energy reported a 27% year-on-year increase in operational capacity to 20,142 MW during the June quarter. Energy sales rose 30% to 13,657 million units (MU), reflecting continued expansion in its renewable energy portfolio. The Adani Green Energy share price could remain active following the operational update.

Keystone Realtors reported pre-sales of ₹617 crore for the quarter, down 42% from ₹1,068 crore a year earlier. Collections, however, increased 4% to ₹599 crore, while the area sold declined 49% to 0.32 million square feet from 0.63 million square feet.

Fino Payments Bank’s monthly business update showed that new accounts opened in June increased 31% year-on-year to 3.13 lakh from 2.39 lakh. Average total deposits also rose 11% to ₹2,755 crore from ₹2,477 crore.

With more companies reporting June-quarter numbers, investors are expected to assess profitability, revenue growth and operational trends across sectors.
