Stocks of some selected retail companies rose on April 6 after posting their strong Q4 update despite weakness in broader market indices.

Sensex and Nifty indices fell 0.6% each, whereas the BSE MidCap 150 index and BSE SmallCap 250 Index were down 0.2% and 0.4%, respectively. The movement in stocks was company-specific.

Senco Gold And V-Mart Lead Gains

Senco Gold shares rose 12% to ₹323, supported by its Q4 update. The company reported around 35% year-on-year growth for FY26, compared to 21% in FY25. It also guided for 20–25% value growth in Q1FY27 while maintaining its EBITDA margin target of 7.5–7.8%.

V-Mart Retail gained over 9%, extending gains for the third consecutive session. The company reported Q4 revenue of ₹971 crore, up from ₹780 crore in the same period last year, reflecting 24% year-on-year growth. Same-store sales growth stood at 12% during the quarter.

Trent Reports Revenue Growth

Trent Ltd shares advanced about 5% after the company reported strong quarterly and annual performance. Its standalone revenue from operations increased 20% year-on-year to ₹4,937 crore in Q4FY26, compared to ₹4,106 crore a year earlier.

For the full financial year, Trent reported revenue of ₹19,701 crore, marking an 18% increase from ₹16,668 crore in FY25, indicating steady growth across its retail segments.

Nykaa Sees Strong Growth Outlook

Shares of FSN E-Commerce Ventures, the parent company of Nykaa, rose up to 3.9%, marking their biggest gain since February 6. The company stated that it expects Q4 net revenue growth in the late 20% range, while full-year growth is projected at the upper end of the mid-20% range.

The beauty segment is expected to record growth in the late 20% range across gross merchandise value (GMV), net sales value, and net revenue. The fashion segment reported acceleration, with GMV growth in the late 20% range and net sales value growth in the early 40% range.

Nykaa added 37 stores during the quarter, taking its total store count to 313 as of March 31. Individual stocks were still dominating trading trends, where companies with positive quarterly news saw increases, despite the fall in index prices.
