NMDC Fixes Iron Ore Prices
NMDC has fixed the price of lump ore at ₹5,250 per tonne and fines at ₹4,500 per tonne. The revised prices will be closely tracked for their potential relevance to the NMDC share price.
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has terminated its agreement with Novartis India for distribution and select product sales in the Indian market. The termination follows a change in Novartis’ shareholding.
Coal India has commenced operations of part capacity of its 200 MW solar power project at Khavda. The project has a total planned capacity of 300 MW.
Hitachi Energy India Gets ₹32,222 Crore Order Backlog
Hitachi Energy India has secured its first Battery Energy Storage System order for a 165 MW/330 MWh project in Andhra Pradesh. The company said the order takes its order backlog to a record ₹32,222.1 crore.
The company has also utilised ₹634.63 crore from the ₹1,513.28 crore capex allocation.
Hindalco Plans ₹768 Crore Capacity Expansion
Hindalco plans to add 10 KTPA of capacity at its Kuppam facility by FY29, involving an investment of ₹768 crore.
The company also said the CFIUS review for its proposed acquisition of AluChem Companies has been delayed, with final clearance now expected by September 2, 2026.
Adani Enterprises said its arm Adani Airport has incorporated AACL Global IFSC.
LIC Launches New Insurance Plan
LIC has launched LIC’s New Bima Jyoti, a non-participating, non-linked individual savings life insurance plan, effective August 10, 2026.
The Government of India has completed the sale of 82.23 crore equity shares, representing 13% of the OFS, for an aggregate consideration of around ₹31,552.34 crore.
Jindal Worldwide Approves ₹650 Crore Rights Issue
Jindal Worldwide’s board has approved a rights issue of up to ₹650 crore. The company plans to use the proceeds to make itself debt-free by FY27 and strengthen its balance sheet. MRF shareholders have approved a final dividend of ₹229 per equity share for FY26.
Emcure Pharma Gets VAI Classification
Emcure Pharma said the U.S. FDA has classified the inspection of its Sanand facility as VAI, or Voluntary Action Indicated. The inspection was conducted between May 6 and May 15, and the company said the inspection stands closed.
AstraZeneca Pharma has received CDSCO approval to sell trastuzumab deruxtecan, a medicine used to treat breast cancer.
Delhivery said the West Bengal GST appellate authority has reduced its GST demand to ₹1.51 crore from ₹5.36 crore.
ICICI Lombard said an income-tax authority erroneously adjusted a ₹97 crore refund against a reassessment demand for AY15-16. The insurer said the matter has no financial impact.

Max Healthcare said the NCLT has directed BRS Capital to file an additional affidavit in a matter involving its arm Kalinga Hospital. The tribunal said the defect relating to the postal ballot notice was procedural in nature.
Vedanta said its promoter loan facility has been terminated following repayment, with all restrictions on the company released.
Great Eastern Shipping has contracted to acquire a second-hand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier with a capacity of 81,886 DWT. The vessel is expected to join the fleet in Q3 FY27, with the acquisition funded through internal accruals.
SML Mahindra has sought shareholder approval to acquire Mahindra & Mahindra’s Truck & Bus Division for ₹525 crore through a slump sale.
In the F&O segment, Nifty August Futures were down 0.36% at ₹24,651, with a premium of ₹81. Maximum Call OI was at the 24,600 strike and maximum Put OI at 24,000. LIC, Bandhan Bank and Kaynes Technology are under the F&O ban.
Molbio Diagnostics and Dhoot Transmission are scheduled to open their IPOs on August 10. Both issues will remain open until August 12.
