Several listed companies are expected to remain in focus after reporting fresh business developments, regulatory filings, project awards and corporate actions. The announcements, made through exchange filings, are likely to influence the respective share price of these companies during Friday’s trading session.

Deepak Nitrite, Coal India, HCLTech, TVS Motor Company, RailTel, J. Kumar Infraprojects and Waaree Energies are among the companies that reported significant developments after market hours.

Business Expansion And New Orders

Deepak Nitrite said its subsidiary, Deepak Chem Tech, commissioned its methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) and methyl isobutyl carbinol (MIBC) plant at Dahej on August 6. The project involved a capital expenditure of around ₹735 crore.

Coal India was declared the preferred bidder for the Gadadharpur iron ore block in Odisha, which has estimated resources of 288 million tonnes.

J. Kumar Infraprojects received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a ₹990.16 crore engineering, procurement and construction contract to build a cricket stadium in Bengaluru. The project is scheduled for completion within 36 months.

RailTel secured an LoA from North Western Railway for a 4x48F optical fibre cable project valued at ₹37.67 crore, with execution scheduled by August 6, 2027.

Powerica and CESC’s subsidiary Purvah separately received LoAs from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 100 MW and 175 MW wind power projects, respectively, at a tariff of ₹3.85 per kWh for 25 years.

Corporate Developments

HCLTech announced that it has been named an OpenAI Advanced Partner, strengthening its artificial intelligence offerings.

TVS Motor Company launched the TVS iQube electric scooter in Kenya, becoming the first Indian original equipment manufacturer to introduce a premium electric scooter in the African market.

Persistent Systems launched a takeover offer of €81 per share for all outstanding shares of Nagarro. The acceptance period will remain open until September 17, 2026. The development may be tracked alongside the company’s share price.

Waaree Energies said its subsidiary, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions, incorporated WH Clean Mobility Systems to focus on clean mobility solutions.

Interarch Building Solutions approved a joint venture with Canada’s ER Steel Inc. with an initial investment of ₹80 crore for its North American business. The company also approved a 1:5 stock split and a proposal to raise up to ₹250 crore through a qualified institutional placement.

Fundraising, Ratings And Management Changes

Globus Spirits completed its qualified institutional placement by allotting 23.81 lakh shares at ₹840 apiece, raising around ₹200 crore.

Grasim Industries repaid ₹750 crore of commercial paper, reducing its outstanding commercial paper to nil. Separately, the company issued a Letter of Awareness to ICICI Bank relating to U.S.$39 million credit facilities for Domsjo Fabriker AB in Sweden, stating that the letter does not create any repayment obligation or guarantee.

Prism Johnson’s non-convertible debentures and bank loan facilities were upgraded to IND AA-/Positive by India Ratings, while its commercial paper rating was reaffirmed at IND A1+.

Shivalik Bimetal Controls announced the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Rajeev Ranjan, effective October 31, while Britannia Industries appointed Sonny Iqbal as an Additional Independent Director for a five-year term beginning August 8.

Other Market Triggers

Corporate actions include a special dividend of ₹90 per share by ABB India and an interim dividend of ₹14.40 per share by The Great Eastern Shipping Company. Investors will also track earnings from companies including State Bank of India, Titan Company, Power Finance Corporation, Hindalco Industries, Oil India and Raymond.

In the derivatives segment, Nifty August futures traded at 24,738, reflecting a premium of 102 points. Open interest data showed the highest call concentration at the 25,000 strike and the highest put concentration at the 24,000 strike. Life Insurance Corporation of India and Bandhan Bank remained under the F&O ban list, while these corporate announcements are expected to keep the respective share price of several companies in focus throughout the session.
