Indian benchmark indices are expected to have a flat opening today. The futures are trading 84 points higher at 23,202. The opening of the indices is expected to be flat at 07:20 AM today, up by 0.37%, according to the data.

Global Cues Remain Mixed

Asian markets traded mixed following a volatile session on Wall Street. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index declined 0.5%, while South Korea’s KOSPI rose 1%. In the U.S., the S&P 500 fell 0.27%, Nasdaq Composite declined 0.28%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.44%, reflecting cautious sentiment amid rising oil prices and global tensions.

TCS Signs MoU With ABB

Tata Consultancy Services announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Switzerland-based ABB to expand collaboration in IT infrastructure, applications, industrial artificial intelligence, and data centre development, according to a company filing.

HDFC Bank Reacts To Chairman Exit

HDFC Bank stated that its board was taken by surprise by the resignation of chairman Atanu Chakraborty, according to a statement by CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan. The bank said no specific issues were raised, and there was no discord between the leadership. The stock had declined over 5% in the previous session.

Nestle India Announces Capacity Expansion

Nestle India said it will add a new production line at its Sanand plant in Gujarat for its Munch brand. The expansion will increase capacity by 8,300 tonnes per year and is expected to be completed by FY26, with an investment of ₹225 crore funded through internal accruals.

NTPC Signs MoU With Octopus Energy

NTPC has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Octopus Energy Group to explore opportunities in electricity distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, and related areas, as per a company statement.

JSW Cement Commissions New Plant

JSW Cement has commissioned a greenfield integrated cement plant in Nagaur, Rajasthan. The facility has a grinding capacity of 2.5 MTPA and clinker capacity of 3.3 MTPA, marking the company’s entry into North India.

Amber Enterprises’ subsidiary IL JIN Electronics (India) approved raising ₹328 crore via a rights issue, with the parent company planning to invest ₹296.02 crore.
