Q1 Results Today: Maruti Suzuki, ITC, IOC, NALCO, Divi’s Labs Among Companies Reporting Earnings

Several listed companies announced their June quarter results, with earnings reflecting mixed trends across sectors. Although the likes of NALCO, Divi’s Laboratories, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and Muthoot Finance saw good profits, the earnings for Maruti Suzuki, ITC and Indian Oil Corporation were poor. In conjunction with the quarterly results, the automakers announced their sales numbers for the month of July.

Mixed Earnings Across Key Companies

Maruti Suzuki India share price is expected to remain in focus after the automaker reported a 10.8% decline in standalone net profit to ₹3,352.1 crore for the June quarter from ₹3,758.1 crore a year earlier. However, revenue increased 35.9% year-on-year to ₹52,455.7 crore.

ITC share price may also attract attention after standalone net profit fell 27.1% to ₹3,578.8 crore, while revenue, excluding excise duty, declined 14.4% to ₹16,907.6 crore.

Indian Oil Corporation share price reported a standalone net loss of ₹2,661.3 crore for the quarter compared with a profit of ₹5,688.6 crore in the corresponding period last year. Despite the loss, revenue excluding excise duty rose 36% to ₹2.62 lakh crore.

Pharma, Metals And Financial Stocks Report Growth

Divi’s Laboratories share price reported a 65.5% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹902 crore, while revenue climbed 27.8% to ₹3,080 crore.

NALCO share price posted one of the strongest performances among large-cap companies, with consolidated profit surging 90.9% to ₹2,003.1 crore. Revenue increased 39.3% to ₹5,302.4 crore.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals share price reported profit of ₹482.9 crore, compared with ₹46.9 crore in the year-ago quarter, while revenue rose 23.1% to ₹4,018.5 crore.

Persistent Systems share price recorded a 13.7% increase in consolidated profit to ₹483 crore, supported by a 29.1% rise in revenue to ₹4,303.2 crore. Dollar revenue grew 16.1% to $452.4 million.

Among financial companies, Muthoot Finance share price reported a 38.8% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹2,799.1 crore, while CDSL share price posted a 14.8% rise in profit to ₹117.5 crore.

Auto Companies Report Higher July Sales

July sales data reflected continued demand across the automobile sector.

Maruti Suzuki India share price reported total sales of 2.41 lakh units, up 33.7% year-on-year, while domestic sales increased 42.1%. Exports, however, declined 5.3%.

Tata Motors share price reported a 37% increase in commercial vehicle sales and a 59% rise in passenger vehicle sales. Electric vehicle sales more than doubled, increasing 114% during the month.

Hyundai Motor India share price recorded 25.4% growth in total sales and achieved its highest monthly exports in more than 100 months.

Mahindra & Mahindra share price, Hero MotoCorp share price, Eicher Motors share price, Escorts Kubota share price, Steel Strips Wheels share price, Atul Auto share price and SML Isuzu share price also reported year-on-year growth in monthly sales across their respective vehicle segments.

Coal Production Also Improves In July

Coal companies reported higher production and dispatch volumes during July. Coal India share price may remain in focus after the company reported 8.4% growth in coal production to 50.4 million tonnes, while coal offtake increased 17.4% to 63.7 million tonnes.

Bharat Coking Coal share price reported a 3.4% increase in raw coal production to 2.45 million tonnes. Coking coal production rose 4.6%, while raw coal offtake increased 10.9% during the month.

Latest earnings reports and monthly operating reports serve as new signals regarding sector performance, where corporate profits, sales growth and production figures are likely to affect individual stocks' performance in the forthcoming trading days.
