NLC India Wins Critical Mineral Block

NLC India has emerged as the preferred bidder for the Govindpur Vanadium, Titanium and Aluminous Laterite Block located in Telangana’s Sangareddy district. The allotment follows the Ministry of Mines’ e-auction of critical and strategic mineral blocks conducted on June 12.

Dr Reddy’s Launches Oncology Drug In U.S.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories announced the launch of Bosutinib Tablets 400 mg in the U.S., the generic version of Bosulif. The product qualifies for 180 days of generic exclusivity as a first-to-file application.

According to IQVIA National Sales Perspectives data, Bosulif recorded sales of approximately $253.8 million in the 12 months ended April 2026.

JSW Energy Expands Generation Portfolio

JSW Energy has signed an agreement to acquire Maruti Clean Coal and Power Ltd for ₹1,410 crore. The target company owns a 300 MW thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh.

Separately, the company commissioned the 150 MW Tidong hydroelectric project, taking its installed generation capacity to nearly 13,900 MW.

Ashoka Buildcon Secures Raipur Project

Ashoka Buildcon received a Letter of Acceptance from the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation for the development of a Gems and Jewellery Park in Raipur under the public-private partnership model. The accepted premium amount for the project stands at ₹112.40 crore.

Power Grid Bags Transmission Project

Power Grid Corporation has been declared the successful bidder for a transmission project linked to upcoming green hydrogen and green ammonia facilities in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada region.

The project includes a new 765/400 kV GIS substation, STATCOM installation and associated transmission infrastructure under the BOOT model.

Aurobindo Pharma Gets FDA Classification

Aurobindo Pharma said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has classified the inspection status of Eugia Unit-III in Telangana as “Official Action Indicated” (OAI). The inspection, conducted between January 27 and February 6, 2026, concluded with 11 observations.

Other Key Corporate Developments

Reliance Industries’ subsidiary Jio Platforms entered the top 20 applicants globally in the latest Patent Cooperation Treaty rankings released by the World Intellectual Property Organization. The company reported 6,817 cumulative patent filings and 1,009 granted patents as of March 2026.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences approved the preferential allotment of 77.02 lakh warrants worth ₹600 crore to promoter group entities at ₹779 per warrant. Shareholders will consider the proposal at an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for July 9.

SEPC secured a ₹673.32 crore order from Steel Authority of India’s IISCO Steel Plant for a crude steel expansion project at Burnpur.

IPCA Laboratories entered into a global licensing agreement with BRL to develop and commercialise multiple monoclonal antibody products using BRL’s biologics delivery platform.

Dividend, Acquisition And Other Updates

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation’s board recommended a final dividend of ₹19.25 per share for FY26 and fixed August 14 as the record date.

Karur Vysya Bank revised rates on FCNR deposits and is offering 7% annual interest on U.S. dollar deposits with tenures of three years and above.

Meesho announced the acquisition of Kirana Club for ₹202.08 crore in a three-stage transaction. Following completion, Kirana Club will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Nestle India rejected allegations regarding infestation in Maggi noodles and stated that it has not yet received the sample linked to the complaint.

Among market-related developments, the four demerged Vedanta entities, Vedanta Oil and Gas, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Aluminium Metal and Vedanta Iron and Steel, are scheduled to list following the restructuring process. SMC Global Securities will trade ex-dividend, while Kaynes Technology India remains under the futures and options ban list.
