Q4 Earnings In Focus
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise reported a 35.9% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit at ₹529.3 crore for the March quarter, compared with ₹389.6 crore a year earlier. Revenue increased 18.1% to ₹6,605.5 crore from ₹5,592.2 crore.
Sammaan Capital posted a loss of ₹8,101.4 crore against a loss of ₹324.04 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue declined 35.6% year-on-year to ₹1,357.7 crore. The company reported impairment on financial instruments worth ₹2,958.1 crore and an exceptional loss of ₹6,499.2 crore.
Jubilant FoodWorks reported a 13.9% decline in standalone profit at ₹42.6 crore, while revenue rose 6.4% to ₹1,679.7 crore. TeamLease Services posted a 25.6% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹43.9 crore, with revenue rising 2.3% to ₹2,924.9 crore. The company’s board also approved a share buyback of up to ₹238 crore.
Metro Brands reported a 23.5% rise in consolidated profit to ₹117.7 crore, while revenue increased 20.3% to ₹772.98 crore. Bosch posted a 2.7% rise in consolidated profit at ₹568.5 crore, while revenue climbed 13.3% to ₹5,565.7 crore. GPT Infraprojects reported a 31.5% increase in profit to ₹31.9 crore and revenue growth of 8.9% to ₹414.7 crore.
Key Corporate Developments
Reliance Industries’ subsidiary RISE Worldwide entered into a partnership with Major League Baseball to support the development of baseball in India. The collaboration includes marketing and commercial initiatives and will culminate in a live event in Mumbai in October 2026.
HG Infra Engineering said it has excluded projects worth ₹4,142 crore from its executable order book due to uncertainty regarding execution and pending clarity from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
Rail Vikas Nigam emerged as the lowest bidder for a project worth ₹164.18 crore from East Coast Railway. Pace Digitek received an advance work order worth ₹264.6 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam under the BharatNet programme in the Sikkim telecom circle.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals’ subsidiary Ichnos Glenmark Innovation announced a new development candidate, ISB 2301, for treatment of multiple solid tumour indications. JK Cement received a Letter of Intent from the Andhra Pradesh government for a limestone mining lease covering 1,188 hectares in YSR Kadapa district.
Aditya Birla Capital Approves Fund Raise
Aditya Birla Capital’s board approved a preferential issue aggregating ₹4,000 crore. The company will issue shares worth ₹2,880 crore to promoter Grasim Industries, ₹200 crore to Suryaja Investment Pte Ltd and ₹920 crore to International Finance Corporation.
The issue price has been fixed at ₹356.02 per share. The proceeds will be used for capital augmentation, lending business requirements and general corporate purposes.
Other Market Triggers
Shares of ITC Hotels, GM Breweries and Pearl Global Industries will trade ex-dividend on May 21, while AVG Logistics will trade ex-rights. Kaynes Technology India and SAIL remain under the futures and options ban list for the session.
