Banking stocks are expected to dominate market attention on July 1 after several lenders announced board-level appointments, fundraising plans and key management changes. Alongside the banking space, companies from infrastructure, renewable energy, information technology and manufacturing also reported significant corporate developments.

Banking Stocks In Spotlight

HDFC Bank informed exchanges that its board has approved the appointment of Rajiv Kumar as an Independent Director for a four-year term beginning June 30, 2026. The board has also proposed his appointment as Part-time Chairman for three years, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Yes Bank board approved plans to raise up to ₹7,500 crore through equity instruments and up to ₹8,500 crore via debt securities, providing the lender with additional capital raising flexibility.

State Bank of India raised $300 million through three-year senior unsecured floating-rate bonds issued via its London branch.

Axis Bank said Chief Financial Officer Puneet Sharma has resigned from his position. Separately, Bandhan Bank announced the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Rajeev Mantri, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Infrastructure And Capital Goods

KEC International secured fresh orders worth ₹1,754 crore across its businesses, adding to its order pipeline.

Power Grid Corporation acquired a 100% stake in Kakinada I Transmission SPV for ₹20.5 crore. The project relates to transmission infrastructure for a green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Andhra Pradesh and includes a 765/400kV GIS substation, STATCOM installation and transmission line works.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy received a Letter of Award for a 1,000 MWac solar photovoltaic project, along with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system project in Egypt. The contract is valued at $560 million.

Corporate Updates

Aditya Birla Capital allotted non-convertible debentures worth ₹300 crore through private placement, with a greenshoe option of ₹100 crore.

Balkrishna Industries completed the expansion of its carbon black manufacturing capacity to 3.6 lakh MTPA by adding 95,000 MTPA. The company also increased its captive power generation capacity to 64 MW through an additional 24 MW installation.

Coforge appointed Anup Nair as its Chief AI Commercial Officer as part of its leadership expansion. NLC India allotted commercial papers worth ₹400 crore on June 29, 2026.

Other Key Announcements

Juniper Hotels announced that Tarun Jaitly has resigned as Chief Financial Officer. Manorama Industries approved the launch of its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) issue and fixed the floor price at ₹1,547.18 per share. The company may offer a discount of up to 5% on the floor price in accordance with regulatory provisions.

The announcements are expected to keep these stocks in focus during Tuesday’s trading session as investors assess the implications of fundraising plans, management changes, order inflows and expansion initiatives.
