Tata Steel, Power Grid, NHPC Among Key Companies Set To Announce Q4 Results Today

Around 145 companies are scheduled to release their financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, on Friday, 15 May, as the earnings season gathers pace across sectors including metals, power, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and consumer goods.

Among the prominent companies declaring their March quarter results are Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation of India, Steel Authority of India (SAIL), NHPC, Cochin Shipyard, ITC Hotels and SJVN.

The earnings announcements come after a strong rebound in the domestic equity market in the previous session. The BSE Sensex rose 790 points, or 1.06%, to close at 75,398.72, while the NSE Nifty 50 advanced 277 points, or 1.18%, to settle at 23,689.60. Broader market indices also ended higher, with the Nifty Midcap 150 gaining 1.18%.

Tata Steel Earnings In Focus

Tata Steel’s March quarter performance is expected to be closely tracked for updates on steel demand, realizations and European operations.

According to brokerage estimates, higher steel prices during the quarter are likely to support earnings despite pressure from rising input costs. Kotak Institutional Equities estimated Tata Steel’s standalone steel realizations could increase 7.9% quarter-on-quarter and 3.5% year-on-year.

The brokerage also projected standalone sales volumes at 6.2 million tonnes, up 10.7% from a year earlier. India EBITDA per tonne is estimated at ₹15,256, supported by improved realizations, although higher coal prices may partly offset gains.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services stated in a preview note that commentary related to Tata Steel’s Europe business, including developments linked to carbon border regulations and import quotas, would remain an important monitorable.

Power Sector Companies To Be Watched

Power Grid Corporation of India and NHPC are also expected to remain in focus during the session. Kotak Institutional Equities estimated Power Grid’s capital expenditure at ₹8,600 crore during the fourth quarter, while asset capitalization is expected at ₹11,500 crore. The brokerage projected improved profit growth due to higher capitalization across projects commissioned during the year.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services estimated Power Grid’s quarterly revenue to rise 12% year-on-year to around ₹12,300 crore, supported by ongoing transmission projects and improved execution.

Hydropower company NHPC and state-run SJVN are also scheduled to announce quarterly numbers, with investors expected to track generation trends and updates on upcoming projects.

Wide Range Of Companies Scheduled To Report

Several companies from sectors such as pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, engineering, chemicals and textiles are also lined up to report earnings on Friday.

The list includes Hindustan Copper, Premier Energies, Godrej Industries, Godfrey Phillips India, Gland Pharma, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Deepak Nitrite, NCC, Balrampur Chini Mills, Symphony, Bajaj Electricals and VIP Industries.

Other firms expected to release results include Devyani International, Welspun Living, Jupiter Life Line Hospitals, Triveni Engineering and Industries, Omaxe and Saint-Gobain Sekurit.

Market participants are likely to monitor management commentary on raw material costs, demand conditions, export trends and capital expenditure plans as companies close out the FY26 earnings season.
