Helios Flexi Cap Fund: Key Changes in the August 2026 Portfolio

Helios Mutual Fund's Helios Flexi Cap Fund Direct-Growth has made several changes to its portfolio in August 2026. The fund, which was launched on October 23, 2023, has now completed around 2 years and 10 months as of September 2026.

The fund invests across large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap stocks, giving the fund flexibility to change its allocation based on market opportunities.

Helios Flexi Cap Fund Returns (September 8, 2026)

As of September 8, 2026, the fund has delivered positive returns across the 3-month, 6-month and 1-year periods. Its 6-month return stood at 13.80%, compared with the category average of 9.11%. Over one year, the Helios Mutual Fund's Helios Flexi Cap Fund Direct-Growth returned 7.26%, well ahead of the category average of 2.08%.

August Brings a Fresh Set of Changes to the Fund

The August portfolio shows shifts in the stocks where it has placed its money. While Eternal Ltd continued to occupy the top spot, Paytm and State Bank of India moved higher in the rankings. At the same time, HDFC Bank saw a sizeable reduction.

Eternal Remains the Largest Holding

Eternal Ltd continued to be the largest position in the portfolio at the end of August. Its market value increased from ₹354.94 crore in July to ₹385.04 crore in August. Despite this increase, its portfolio weight remained broadly stable at around 4.4%.

ICICI Bank retained the second position, although its share of the portfolio declined from 4.18% to 3.90%. Paytm, meanwhile, made a notable jump and became the third-largest holding.

The fund increased its Paytm holding from 18.49 lakh shares to 19.29 lakh shares. As a result, its portfolio weight rose from 3.08% to 3.79%.

Adani Ports slipped from third place to fourth, even though the fund increased its holding from 17.43 lakh shares to 18.19 lakh shares.
The biggest jump in the top five came from SBI. It moved from ninth place in July to fifth in August. The holding increased from 19.41 lakh shares to 23.34 lakh shares. HDFC Bank moved in the opposite direction. It fell from the fourth-largest position in July to ninth in August.

Coforge and PB Fintech Enter the Portfolio

August also brought two completely new names to the portfolio.

Coforge was not part of the July portfolio. The fund added 10,44,866 shares of the IT company, with the holding valued at ₹207.44 crore. This represented 2.37% of AUM. PB Fintech was the other new entry. The fund held 3,61,500 shares worth ₹67.78 crore. This accounted for 0.77% of AUM.

Five companies that featured in the July portfolio were absent from the August statement. These were:

Biggest Cuts

Among the existing holdings, HDFC Bank saw the sharpest reduction. The fund cut its holding by 6 lakh shares, taking the quantity from 37,98,760 shares in July to 31,98,760 shares in August.

Its portfolio weight consequently fell from 3.53% to 2.59%.

Reliance Industries also saw a meaningful reduction. The holding declined by 3,34,500 shares, while its portfolio weight fell from 2.89% to 2.11%. Bharti Airtel was another notable reduction, with 2,08,900 shares sold and its weight falling from 2.20% to 1.43%.

Paytm, MCX and Titan See Higher Allocation

The fund was active on the buying side too. Paytm saw one of the biggest increases, with its portfolio weight moving from 3.08% to 3.79%. MCX also gained importance, with its weight rising from 0.99% to 1.56%. Poonawalla Fincorp increased from 0.33% to 0.89%, while Titan moved from 2.02% to 2.57%. SBI and Honasa Consumer also saw their weights rise from 2.48% to 2.83% and 0.95% to 1.30%, respectively.

Equity Allocation Falls to 96.94%

At the same time, equity allocation fell from 98.50% to 96.94% as the fund increased its TREPS and cash position.
