When you invest with a fund house for the first time, the AMC creates a folio and issues this number. Every SIP, lump-sum purchase, redemption, or switch under that fund house links back to it. The number stays with you across schemes from the same AMC, unless you deliberately open a new folio.

Go to the portfolio or holdings section, select your folio, and view current NAV, units held, invested amount, present value, SIP status, and transaction history. Most AMC apps let you download a folio statement instantly. 

Via CAMS. CAMS is a registrar servicing a large group of AMCs, including HDFC, ICICI Prudential, and SBI. Visit camsonline.com, choose single-folio or consolidated statement, enter your registered email, set a password to encrypt the file, and submit. The statement arrives by email listing units, current value, and transaction history. 

Via KFintech. KFintech (formerly Karvy) services AMCs including Axis, Nippon India, UTI, and Mirae. Its KFinKart app and web portal let you log in with PAN, folio, or email, view a portfolio dashboard across multiple folios, link family folios, and track NAV history. 

Via a Consolidated Account Statement (CAS). A CAS shows all your mutual fund holdings across every AMC in one document, useful when investments span both CAMS and KFintech. Visit either registrar's consolidated statement page, enter your registered email, set a password, and open the encrypted statement from your inbox. Note that a CAS may not fully reflect demat holdings, so check with your depository participant for those. 

Via your broker or customer care. On a broker platform like 5paisa, log in, open the mutual funds section, and view all folios with live value, units, and SIP status together, with statements downloadable for tax records. For assisted support, you can also call or email the AMC or registrar with your folio number, or visit the nearest branch with a photo ID.

• CAS – lists each folio alongside the matching AMC
