When using a low-brokerage Demat account, you only pay transaction fees, also known as Demat Account Brokerage charges. These are levied for transactions completed by the depository participant (DP). 5paisa charges a flat ₹20 per order.

The brokerage charge for investing in stocks is a flat ₹20 per order. If you purchase stocks worth ₹1,000, the brokerage charge will be ₹20. Similarly, when you sell stocks, another ₹20 is charged. Thus, the total brokerage for a buy and sell transaction will be (₹20 + ₹20) = ₹40.
