On 23rd May 2022,  SAIL announced its quarterly results for the last quarter of FY2022.

Key Highlights:

Q4FY22:

- SAIL reported a profit before tax of Rs.3278.97 Crores for Q4FY22 from Rs.4660.97 Crores in Q4FY21, a decline of 29.65%

- The company's revenue from operations rose 32.09% to Rs.30758.82 Crores in the quarter under review from Rs.23284.89 Crores in the same quarter last fiscal.

- The total income for the quarter stood at Rs.31175.25 from Rs.23533.19 in Q4FY21, a growth of 32.47%

- SAIL reported a net profit of Rs.2478.82 Crores from Rs.3469.88 Crores in Q4FY21, drop by 28.56% 

FY2022: 

- The company reported a profit before tax at Rs.16291.87 Crores for FY2022 from Rs.7205.65 Crores in FY2021, with a growth of 126.09%

- The company's revenue from operations rose by 49.71% to Rs.103476.84 Crores for the year from Rs.69113.61 Crores in FY2022.

- The total income for the year stood at Rs.104335.39 from Rs.69974.28 in FY2021, a growth of 49.10%

- SAIL reported a Net profit of Rs.12243.47 Crores with a growth of 195.15% YoY.

 

Plant-wise Revenue:

Bhilai Steel Plant: The Bhilai steel plant reported revenue at Rs.8521.67 crores with a growth of 29.32% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.27993.23 crores for FY2022 with a growth of 40.32% YoY.

Durgapur Steel Plant: Durgapur Steel Plant reported revenue at Rs.3670.47 crore with a growth of 33.44% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.11853.29 for FY2022 with a growth of 34.87% YoY.

Bokaro Steel Plant: Bokaro Steel Plant reported revenue at Rs.8243.01 crore with a growth of 26.48% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.28531.63 crore for FY2022 with a growth of 53.16% YoY.

IISCO Steel Plant: IISCO Steel plant reported revenue at Rs.3956.83 crore with a growth of 46.92% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.12200.78 crore for FY2022 with a growth of 46.83% YoY.

Alloy Steels Plant: Alloy Steels Plant reported revenue at Rs.242.03 Crore with a growth of 28.78% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.896.84 crore for FY2022 with a growth of 62.13% YoY.

Salem Steel Plant: Salem Steel Plant reported revenue at Rs.757.19 crore with a growth of 39.39% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.2658.35 crore for FY2022 with a drop of 55.16% YoY.

Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant: The Visvesvaraya plant reported revenue at Rs.111.19 Crore with a growth of 45.25% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.377.11 crore for FY2022 with a growth of 124.04%.

Rourkela Steel Plant: Rourkela plant reported revenue at Rs.7643.73 crore with a growth of 19.10% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.26830.57 crore for FY2022 with a growth of 51.82% YoY.

Others: The other plants reported revenue at Rs.434.93 crore with a growth of 19.15% YoY for Q4FY22 and reported revenue at Rs.3324.18 crore for FY2022 with a growth of 170.39% YoY.

 

The Board has recommended the Final Dividend at Rs.2.25/- per equity share of Rs.10/- each for FY2022(22.50% of the paid-up equity share capital of the Company).
