Business Overview

Shree Balaji (Mala) Textiles is positioned in the B2B cotton saree market, with its “Mala Saree” brand focused on wholesale distribution of affordable ethnic wear. Its business depends on product variety, distribution reach, inventory management and demand from wholesalers and retailers.

The company’s total income increased to ₹212.40 crore in FY 2026 from ₹193.44 crore in FY 2025. Profit after tax rose to ₹5.85 crore in FY 2026 from ₹4.95 crore in FY 2025, marking an 18.2% year-on-year increase. Revenue from operations stood at ₹211.97 crore in FY 2026.

Its strengths include an established brand in cotton sarees, long operating history, B2B distribution network, focus on affordable sarees and low customer concentration compared with many SME issuers. The company’s FY 2026 PAT margin remained modest, reflecting the competitive and volume-led nature of the textile trading and manufacturing business.

Investors should also note the risks. The business is exposed to working capital requirements, inventory risk, textile-sector competition, changing consumer preferences, dependence on wholesale channels and pressure on margins in affordable saree categories.
