Why today matters 

Eighteen companies go ex-dividend on Thursday, September 10, 2026, among them Apex Frozen Foods, Chemcrux Enterprises, Divgi Torqtransfer Systems, Elnet Technologies, Linc, Ganesha Ecosphere, Power Mech Projects and Valiant Communications. 

Each has set Thursday, September 10 as its record date. Because Indian equities settle on a T+1 basis, shares bought on Wednesday, September 9 are credited in time to appear on the register on the record date. Anyone who holds the stock through Wednesday's session is therefore eligible for the payout. 

TVS Srichakra 

Dividend Declaration: The board has declared a final dividend of ₹37.8 on each share having a face value of ₹10. September 10 is fixed as the record date. The share price has weakened and was quoted at ₹5,324.50, down by 0.17% on the BSE at 9:21 am. The market capitalization of the firm stood at ₹4,077 crore. 

Apex Frozen Foods 

The final dividend of ₹2.50 has been paid, the face value being ₹10. The share price on Wednesday at 9:30 AM was 1.14% lower at ₹379.95 on the BSE, the market capitalization being ₹1,187.34 crore. 

Zee Entertainment Enterprises 

The board has approved a final dividend of ₹2 per share on a face value of Re 1. ZEEL was trading 0.73% lower at ₹85.7 on the BSE at 9:30 am, valuing the company at ₹8,231.65 crore.

Market today 

Indian markets were trading lower on Wednesday amid a highly volatile week. Nifty index was trading above 23,500 and was seen unchanged at 23,513.7 as of 9:34 AM while BSE Sensex index was trading lower by 0.68%. Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services indices were under pressure amid falling prices of HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBIN, Axis Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. 

In Nifty 50, some of the best performers included Max Health, Coal India, Adani Enterprises, NTPC, and Apollo Hospital, whereas some of the biggest losers were HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries Ltd., ICICI Bank, Infosys, and Bharti Airtel.
