Welspun Corp shares climbed to a fresh 52-week high on Friday, September 25, after the company announced that its US subsidiary had secured its largest-ever order.

The stock opened at ₹2,782 on the BSE, compared with its previous close of ₹2,694.60, before gaining as much as 5.3% to touch a 52-week high of ₹2,837.50.

The rise followed Welspun Corp’s disclosure that its wholly owned US subsidiary, Welspun Tubular LLC, had received an order valued at nearly $412.5 million, equivalent to close to ₹4,000 crore.

Welspun Tubular lands largest-ever order

According to an exchange filing made by Welspun Corp on September 25, the order marks the largest ever received by Welspun Tubular in terms of volume, length and monetary value.

The order pertains to the delivery of high frequency induction weld (HFIW) pipe in the United States.

The pipe will be produced at the plant of Welspun Tubular located at Little Rock, US where Welspun Tubular has upgraded its HFIW mill capacity in order to improve its manufacturing capability.

The order is to be executed in the fiscal years 2028 and 2029.

The order is an indication of the size and execution capabilities of the company and further its objective of expanding the manufacturing capacity across the globe.

Global order book reaches record $4.7 billion

The latest contract has also pushed Welspun Corp’s global order book to a record level.

Following the new order, the company’s global order book stands at $4.7 billion, or nearly ₹45,000 crore the highest in its history.

The US contract comes shortly after another sizeable order announcement involving Welspun Corp’s associate company in Saudi Arabia.

On September 20, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry, a listed company in Saudi Arabia, signed an agreement with Saudi Arabian Oil Co., or Aramco, for the manufacture and supply of steel pipes.

The contract is valued at more than 771 million Saudi riyals, equivalent to nearly ₹2,000 crore, including value-added tax.

The contract has a duration of six months, with its financial impact expected to be reflected from the fourth quarter of FY27 through the first quarter of FY28.

Welspun Corp shares extend strong run

Welspun Corp’s latest rise adds to a sharp rally in the stock over recent months.

The shares have gained more than 235% over the past six months and are up more than 250% so far in 2026.

The stock had fallen to a 52-week low of ₹709.75 on February 2. From that level, it has risen almost 300% in less than eight months to reach its latest 52-week high of ₹2,837.50.

The stock has also ended every month in positive territory since April. In September alone, it has gained around 17% so far.

The September 25 move came alongside the company’s latest order announcement, with investors responding to the nearly ₹4,000-crore US contract and the expansion of Welspun Corp’s global order book to its highest-ever level.
