Cumulative FAR investment remained positive at ₹22,350 crore
National Securities Depository Ltd data showed that cumulative net investment in FAR securities remained positive at ₹22,350 crore in the calendar year up to November 3. The depository attributed the cumulative figure to buying earlier in the year, particularly in June.
Bloomberg Index Services deferred its inclusion decision
Bloomberg Index Services deferred its decision on India’s inclusion in the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Index. It said the reforms needed more time to become established in day-to-day market practices, and India remained on the Bloomberg index watch list after the decision.
Gaura Sengupta, chief economist at IDFC First Bank, said the selling of FAR securities was due to India not being included in the Bloomberg bond index.
