Indian benchmark indices traded flat on Thursday, with the Nifty 50 hovering near the 23,450 level. At 11:50 am IST, the Sensex was up 23.19 points, or 0.03%, at 74,787.42, while the Nifty 50 was up 2.30 points, or 0.01%, at 23,433.80.

PSU banks and media stocks led sectoral gains, while Bank Nifty and private banks also traded higher. Pharma was the biggest sectoral laggard, followed by metals and FMCG.

Meanwhile, Brent crude was trading near $102 per barrel, revisiting its July 23 high, a level from which prices had previously reversed sharply towards $78. A rejection from this zone could ease pressure on Indian equities. However, a sustained breakout above $102 could pose a significant headwind, as higher crude prices may intensify concerns over inflation, the rupee, the current account and corporate margins.

Amid the mixed market trend, several Nifty 500 stocks witnessed sharp movements on the back of company-specific developments and profit booking.

Trading volumes also remained strong at 1,140 lakh shares, compared with the 30-day average of 530 lakh shares.
The rally came as value buying emerged after three consecutive sessions of decline.

Acutaas Chemicals Gains 4%

At 11:45 am, Acutaas Chemicals Ltd share price was trading at ₹3,437, reflecting a gain of 6.02% from its previous close.
Trading volumes stood at 4.99 lakh shares, compared with the 30-day average of 2.84 lakh shares.

Two weeks ago, Acutaas Chemicals said that its South Korean step-down subsidiary, Indichem Inc., had inaugurated a semiconductor chemicals manufacturing plant in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea.

Redington Rises 5% and Hits All-Time High

Redington Ltd share price was trading at ₹396.85 at 11:45 am, reflecting a gain of 4.97%. At this level, the stock hit a fresh all-time high.

Trading volumes also stood strong at 1,400 lakh shares, compared with its 30-day average of 873 lakh shares.

The share price gained as investors remained positive about Redington’s outlook as a key Apple distributor in India. The upcoming launch of the ultra-premium iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India, with sales starting on September 18 at ₹1,64,900 and ₹1,79,900, respectively, raised expectations of higher demand and stronger business for the company.

Top Losers for September 10: HEG, HFCL and IFCI Fall Up to 5%

HEG Falls 5%

HEG Ltd emerged as the top loser in the Nifty 500 index on September 10, 2026. The share price was trading at ₹2,550.60 at 11:50 am, reflecting a loss of 4.62% from its previous close.

The stock came under pressure as investors believed that the latest graphite electrode price hike may not directly benefit HEG Advanced Materials, as the company’s graphite electrode business has been separated following the demerger.

HFCL Shares Drop 4%

HFCL Ltd share price was trading at ₹235.50 at 11:50 am, a fall of 4.05% from its previous close.

The decline came amid broader market weakness and some profit booking in the stock after its recent gains.

IFCI Falls 4%

IFCI Ltd was also among the top losers in the Nifty 500 index. The share price fell to ₹85.46 at 11:50 am, down 3.93% from its previous close.

The decline came after reports suggested that the National Stock Exchange could price its initial public offering below earlier indications and reduce the stake offered in the issue. In addition, the grey market premium (GMP) of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) IPO declined sharply, weighing on sentiment towards IFCI.
