Shares of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles declined 4.5% on August 14 after the company reported a steep drop in consolidated profit for the June quarter. In contrast, Indigo Paints and LG Electronics India moved higher after posting strong year-on-year growth in their respective quarterly earnings.
Tata Motors PV Under Pressure
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles share price fell 4.5% after consolidated profit for Q1 FY27 dropped 80.2% year-on-year to ₹775 crore from ₹3,924 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue, however, increased 9.3% to ₹95,799 crore from ₹87,677 crore. The company also reported a forex loss of ₹150 crore during the quarter, compared with a forex gain of ₹523 crore a year earlier.
The sharp decline in profit outweighed the increase in revenue, putting the Tata Motors PV share price under pressure during Friday’s session.
Indigo Paints Gains On Earnings
Indigo Paints share price rose 3.5% after the company reported a 61% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit to ₹41.7 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹25.9 crore in the year-ago period.
Revenue climbed 19.7% to ₹369.7 crore from ₹308.9 crore. The stronger operating performance helped the Indigo Paints share price gain during the session.
LG Electronics India share price also advanced 5% following a 27.2% year-on-year rise in Q1 profit to ₹652.9 crore from ₹513.3 crore.
Revenue increased 15.5% to ₹7,233.4 crore from ₹6,262.9 crore. The company’s EBITDA margin also improved to 12.5% from 11.4% in the corresponding period last year.
MAN Industries Rises On QatarEnergy Qualification
MAN Industries (India) shares gained 6% after the company was included in QatarEnergy’s Preferred Manufacturers List for carbon steel longitudinally submerged arc welded pipes, coating and bends.
The qualification allows MAN Industries to participate as an eligible bidder for large-diameter pipe requirements linked to QatarEnergy projects. The development adds an order opportunity for the company across projects forming part of QatarEnergy’s investment programme.
The MAN Industries share price reacted positively to the announcement during Friday’s trading session.
Earnings And Corporate Updates In Focus
Stock-specific activity is expected to remain prominent as investors continue to assess June-quarter financial results alongside company announcements and other corporate developments.
Tata Motors PV share price movements remain linked to the market’s response to the substantial profit decline, while Indigo Paints share price and LG Electronics India share price are benefiting from their respective earnings growth.
With the quarterly results season moving towards its final phase, company-specific earnings, new business developments and other announcements are likely to remain key factors influencing individual stocks during the session.
