What is MTF?
Margin Trading Facility (MTF) allows you to buy stocks by paying only a part of the total amount upfront, while the rest is funded by 5paisa. It’s a smart way to leverage your capital and take delivery of stocks without paying the full amount on day one.
How To
- 01. Go to any stock order form Search for any stock with leverage, from a wide range of 1500+ stocks and open its order form.
- 02. Go to MTF tab On the right-most side choose the MTF tab in the order form.
- 03. Click activate Check the box to accept T&Cs, and click on "Activate MTF", and you are all set.

To activate 5paisa MTF (Pay Later), you need to have an active demat and trading account with 5paisa. You can activate Pay Later instantly via the Order Form → Pay Later / Margin section by accepting the terms.
MTF interest is charged daily on the broker-funded portion of your position, but the accumulated interest is billed weekly. At 5paisa, the interest structure is slab-based. For funded amounts between ₹0 and ₹1 lakh, the applicable rate is 0.026% per day (9.50% annually). For funded exposure above ₹1 lakh and up to ₹5 lakh, the rate is 0.034% per day (12.50% annually). For funded amounts above ₹5 lakh and up to ₹10 crore, the interest charged is 0.042% per day (15.50% annually).
Delivery orders require full cash upfront, while 5paisa MTF orders let you use collateral margin based on stock-specific leverage to enhance your buying power.
