Two Fund Houses Propose Six New Mutual Fund Schemes

Abakkus Mutual Fund and JioBlackRock Mutual Fund have submitted draft scheme documents to the Securities and Exchange Board of India for six proposed products of mutual fund.

The filings, reported by The Economic Times on October 11, 2026, comprise three schemes from each asset management company.

Abakkus has proposed products in the hybrid fund segment, while JioBlackRock is expanding its planned passive investment offerings.

The six schemes include three actively managed hybrid products, two target-maturity index funds and one silver exchange-traded fund.

The submissions represent proposed additions to the fund houses' product ranges. Filing draft documents does not mean that all six schemes are already available for subscription.

Abakkus Proposes Three Hybrid Mutual Funds

Abakkus Mutual Fund has filed documents for the Abakkus Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund, Abakkus Aggressive Hybrid Fund and Abakkus Arbitrage Fund.

The Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund proposes investing between 10% and 90% in equity and equity-related instruments, alongside a 10% to 90% allocation to debt and money-market instruments, subject to the scheme's limits.

Its proposed benchmark is the CRISIL Hybrid 50+50 – Moderate Index.

The Aggressive Hybrid Fund will primarily invest in equities, with a proposed allocation of 65% to 80% in equity and equity-related instruments.

The scheme may also allocate 20% to 35% to fixed-income securities, alongside permitted exposure to other instruments.

It proposes using the CRISIL Hybrid 35+65 – Aggressive Index as its benchmark.

The third scheme, Abakkus Arbitrage Fund, will focus on arbitrage opportunities in the equity cash and derivatives markets.

Its proposed benchmark is the Nifty 50 Arbitrage Index.

The draft documents specify a minimum lump-sum application of ₹500 for each of the three Abakkus schemes.

JioBlackRock Proposes Two Debt Index Funds and a Silver ETF

JioBlackRock Mutual Fund has submitted documents for the JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027 Fund and the JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 Fund.

Both are proposed target-maturity index schemes designed to track specified fixed-income benchmarks.

The June 2027 fund will follow an index of eligible AAA-rated non-banking financial company securities.

The September 2027 product will track a financial-services debt index with a corresponding maturity profile.

Their returns will be influenced by underlying bond yields, index composition, expenses and tracking differences.

The third proposed product is the JioBlackRock Silver ETF, which would provide an exchange-traded investment structure linked to silver.

The minimum lump-sum application amount specified for the three proposed JioBlackRock products is ₹500.

Filings Expand the Product Pipeline

The latest filings illustrate product expansion across different segments of the mutual fund market.

Abakkus is seeking to establish a range of hybrid strategies, while JioBlackRock has proposed additional passive debt and commodity-linked products.

The filings have also appeared on SEBI's mutual fund scheme document listing, with the relevant Abakkus submissions dated October 8 and JioBlackRock submissions dated October 8–9.

The final offer periods, operational terms and subscription availability will be determined through subsequent scheme announcements and applicable regulatory processes.
