HFCL shares continued their upward run on Thursday, October 1, gaining nearly 4% and taking their three-session rise to more than 15%. The stock held firm even as the broader market remained under pressure.

HFCL opened at the day’s upper circuit of Rs 238.37 on the NSE. By 2:15 pm, the stock was trading at Rs 236, up 3.96%.

Trading activity also picked up sharply. Around 16 million HFCL shares changed hands on the NSE during the session, compared with 3.4 million shares in the previous session.

HFCL Gains More Than 200% in Six Months

The latest rally adds to a sharp rise in HFCL shares over recent months.

The stock has gained around 13% in the past week and 12% over the last three months. Over six months, it has risen 227%, while its one-year gain stands at more than 223%.

HFCL touched its 52-week high of Rs 257 in August 2026. Its 52-week low of Rs 59.83 was recorded in January.

The stock has also been placed under Long-Term Additional Surveillance Measure Stage 4, or LT ASM-4, a regulatory framework used to monitor shares witnessing factors such as unusual price volatility, high concentration or heavy speculation.

Analysts Point to Rs 255-260 Zone

With the stock approaching its earlier highs, analysts cited by Moneycontrol are watching the Rs 255-260 range closely.

Hitesh Tailor, Technical Research Analyst at Choice Broking, said the stock found buying interest after retreating from the Rs 255-256 area. He pointed to improving trading volumes and placed support at Rs 215-220, with immediate resistance at Rs 255-257.

Jigar S Patel, Senior Manager - Technical Research at Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, struck a more cautious note.

Patel said the stock was showing signs of losing momentum at higher levels and could move into a period of consolidation or profit booking. He identified Rs 220 as an important support level and Rs 260 as the key resistance.

According to Patel, a move decisively above Rs 260 would be needed for stronger upward momentum to return.

HFCL Recently Went Ex-Dividend

The latest share-price movement comes shortly after HFCL went ex-dividend for its final dividend of Rs 0.20 per share for FY26.

September 22 was both the ex-dividend and record date.

The company also held its 39th Annual General Meeting on September 29, where shareholders approved the dividend along with other resolutions.

For now, HFCL has extended its gains for a third consecutive session, while the sharp increase in trading volumes and the stock’s proximity to its previous high have kept attention on the counter.
