Key Takeaways

  • JioBlackRock Income Plus Arbitrage Omni FoF opened for subscription on 5 October and is scheduled to close on 19 October 2026.
  • The scheme will predominantly invest through debt-oriented and arbitrage mutual fund schemes, with 95-100% of assets allocated to such fund units.
  • The minimum lump-sum application is ₹500, while the scheme’s benchmark combines debt and arbitrage indices in a 60:40 ratio.

JioBlackRock Mutual Fund has opened the new fund offer for its Income Plus Arbitrage Omni FoF, adding a domestic fund-of-funds product that combines exposure to debt-oriented schemes with arbitrage funds.

The NFO opened on 5 October 2026 and will remain available until 19 October 2026, according to the fund house. The scheme is classified as a domestic fund of funds and currently carries a Moderate risk rating.

The portfolio is designed to invest predominantly in units of other mutual fund schemes rather than build the underlying debt and arbitrage positions directly.

Under the scheme framework, 95-100% of total assets can be invested in units of active or passive debt-oriented funds and arbitrage funds. The remaining 0-5% can be held in debt and money-market instruments. The underlying funds may include eligible schemes operated by JioBlackRock or other mutual fund houses.

The scheme will be benchmarked against a combination of 60% NIFTY Composite Debt Index and 40% Nifty 50 Arbitrage Index TRI. Anand Shah, Haresh Mehta, Siddharth Deb and Arun Ramachandran have been named as fund managers.

The minimum lump-sum application amount is ₹500, with subsequent investment permitted thereafter. Monthly SIP investments also start at ₹500, subject to a minimum of six instalments under the scheme terms. Both regular and direct plans are available with a growth option.

Income-plus-arbitrage fund-of-funds structures combine two distinct sources of exposure. Debt-oriented funds primarily hold fixed-income instruments, while arbitrage schemes typically seek to capture price differences between cash and derivatives markets through hedged positions.

Since the new JioBlackRock product invests through underlying mutual fund schemes, its eventual returns will reflect the performance and expenses of those funds as well as the expenses of the FoF itself.

The NFO closes on 19 October, after which the scheme will operate as an open-ended fund subject to the terms laid out in its scheme documents.
