Low price stocks: These scrips are locked in the upper circuit on March 11
At noon on Friday, the core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50, were trading marginally higher after opening on the lower side in the morning session.
The Sensex was trading at 55,651.29 up by 186.90 points or 0.34% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,646.90, up by 52 points 0.31%.
The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are Cipla, Sun Pharmaceuticals, JSW Steel, Coal India, and Bajaj Finserv. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Tata motors, Tata Consumer products, Nestle India, Maruti Suzuki, and ONGC.
BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 23,231.03, up by 0.11%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Jubilant FoodWorks, GlaxoSmithKline, Hindustan Aeronautical. Each of these scrips gained more than 2%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Procter & Gamble, Tata consumer Products, and Whirlpool India.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at, 27,059.38, up by 0.60%. The top three gainers are JK Paper, Kirloskar Industries, and Jindal Drilling. Each of these stocks gained more than 10%. The top three stocks pulling the index down are Future Lifestyle Fashions, GTPL Hathway, and Future Enterprises DVR.
Sector-wise, all the indices on the BSE, were trading in the green, except for BSE Auto and BSE Consumer Durables.
