There are 16 official stock market holidays in 2026 when NSE and BSE remain closed on weekdays.

There are 245 active trading days in 2026 after excluding weekends and the 16 stock market holidays. Trading holidays include both NSE & BSE stock market holidays.

Muhurat Trading will be held on November 8, 2026, on the occasion of Diwali (Lakshmi Puja). The exact trading window is announced closer to the date by the exchanges. Other NSE holidays and BSE holidays are announced similarly by the exchanges.
