AlphaGrep Mutual Fund's first strategy under its new Eminence SIF platform opened for subscription on Wednesday, October 14. 

The Eminence Hybrid Long-Short Fund will remain open during its new fund offer until October 28, 2026. The general minimum investment is ₹10 lakh, in line with the entry threshold applicable to Specialised Investment Funds. 

The scheme is structured as a hybrid long-short strategy rather than a conventional diversified mutual fund. Its investment approach combines equity long-short positions with special situations, options and other derivative strategies, arbitrage opportunities and fixed-income exposure. 

Limited short exposure may be created in both equity and debt using permitted derivative instruments. This gives the fund a broader set of portfolio tools than those typically available to conventional mutual fund strategies, while keeping the product within SEBI's SIF regulatory framework. 

The stated investment objective is to seek capital appreciation through equity and equity-related instruments alongside income from arbitrage, derivative strategies, special situations and fixed-income investments. 

AlphaGrep's entry adds another platform to the rapidly expanding SIF segment. Industry-wide SIF assets had reached ₹38,224 crore by September 30, 2026, around one year after the category's first schemes began publishing NAVs. 

The new fund offer is a product launch and does not provide a performance history for the strategy. Any subsequent returns will depend on the portfolio, market conditions, use of long-short positions and other factors specified in the scheme documents.
