Arvind Subramanian Nominated as Independent Director for Axis Bank for Next Four Years

Axis Bank has appointed Arvind Subramanian as an independent director for a period of four years, commencing from September 23, 2026.
The nomination will be effective for a period of September 22, 2030 and is subject to shareholder approval. The board of directors of the bank has agreed to his induction based on a recommendation by the Nomination & Remuneration Committee.
Subramanian, who is 53 years old, has more than three decades of experience in the field of strategy consulting and corporate leadership in diverse industries like technology, business services, industrials, consumer and real estate.
At present, Subramanian serves as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Iron Mountain India, leading the India Business along with Global Enterprise Strategy & Incubation.
In the past, Subramanian has been associated with Boston Consulting Group for around 15 years where he was responsible for corporate strategy, digital transformations, growth, organisational designs, and change.
In Boston Consulting Group, Subramanian was Managing Director and Partner, leading BCG Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice in India.
Subsequently, he was Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Lifespace Developers.
Subramanian is a graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Madras and has done a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
Axis Bank has mentioned that there exists no relationship between Subramanian and directors/ key managerial persons of Axis Bank. It has also stated that there is no disqualification imposed on him by SEBI or any other statutory body in holding a directorship.
As an Independent Director, Subramanian will not have to retire by rotation.
