Pace Digitek Secures ₹488 Crore BESS Order from NTPC GE Power Services, Expands Energy Storage Pipeline

Pace Digitek’s material subsidiary Lineage Power has secured a ₹488.46 crore order from NTPC GE Power Services for battery energy storage systems, adding another large project to the company’s growing storage business. 

The contract covers the supply and delivery of 5.015 MWh BESS containers, along with testing and supervision during erection and commissioning. Battery Management Systems and Energy Management Systems are also part of the scope. 

The project is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2026. Beyond the equipment and commissioning work, the order also carries a 12-year comprehensive maintenance contract.

For Pace Digitek, the order arrives at a time when it is rapidly scaling its storage manufacturing operations. 

Its BESS manufacturing capacity has already doubled from 2.5 GWh to 5 GWh, and the company is working towards 10 GWh by the end of FY27.

The latest win also follows closely on the heels of another battery-storage contract secured by Lineage Power. 

In August, the subsidiary received a ₹92.9 crore order from Kalpa Power for a 100 MWh BESS project. That contract is also due for completion by December 31, 2026. (business-standard) 

Taken together, the two orders have added more than ₹580 crore of disclosed BESS business in a short span, although the company has not separately disclosed what portion of the value will be recognised in revenue in each financial period. 

The NTPC GE Power Services order is domestic and was awarded directly to Lineage Power. The available disclosure does not indicate any promoter or related-party interest in the awarding entity. 

What stands out in the latest order is the mix of near-term execution and longer-duration maintenance work. The supply and commissioning portion has to be completed by the end of December, while the 12-year maintenance contract extends the commercial relationship well beyond project delivery.
