Quick Heal Technologies Responds to NSE Query on Trading Volumes

Quick Heal Technologies Limited has clarified that it is unaware of any undisclosed material information behind the recent increase in trading volumes in its shares. The cybersecurity company submitted its response to the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on 15 October 2026, following a surveillance query issued by the exchange a day earlier.

The NSE had sought an explanation for the increase in the volume of shares traded across exchanges in the recent past. Quick Heal maintained that it had complied with its disclosure obligations and had no additional material event or information to report.

The clarification was submitted under reference number QHTL/Sec/SE/2026-27/47 and signed by compliance officer Vikram Dhanani.

Quick Heal Says Trading Activity Is Driven by Market Forces

In its communication, Quick Heal stated that it had made all disclosures required under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Regulation 30 governs the disclosure of material events and information by listed companies. It requires businesses to report specified developments that may be relevant to shareholders and market participants.

The company indicated that it had not withheld any event or information falling within these disclosure requirements.

Regarding the increased trading volume, Quick Heal attributed the movement to market conditions and trading activity outside its control.

The response did not identify a particular announcement, corporate action or operational development as the reason for the increase.

Why Did NSE Seek Clarification From Quick Heal?

Stock exchanges monitor trading activity in listed securities as part of their market surveillance functions. Unusual changes in trading volumes may lead an exchange to request clarification from the company concerned.

Such queries help establish whether a listed entity has disclosed material developments that could be relevant to trading activity.

In Quick Heal's case, the NSE surveillance department issued its communication on 14 October 2026 under reference number NSE/CM/Surveillance/17713.

The company's response addressed the exchange's concern about the increase in trading volumes rather than reporting a new business development.

An exchange clarification of this nature does not, by itself, establish wrongdoing or indicate that undisclosed information exists.

What the Clarification Establishes

Quick Heal's filing confirms the company's position that its disclosure obligations have been fulfilled. It also records management's assessment that the recent volume movement reflects market forces.

The communication does not provide figures for the increase in trading volume, specify the period over which the increase occurred or quantify any associated share-price movement.

Consequently, the filing alone cannot establish the scale of the trading activity or explain the individual transactions behind it.

Quick Heal reiterated its commitment to maintaining compliance with applicable disclosure requirements in the interests of shareholders.

The clarification was filed with the NSE on 15 October 2026.
