Beta Drugs Reports 29% Revenue Growth in H1 FY27
Beta Drugs Limited reported consolidated revenue of ₹263 crore for the first half of FY27, up from ₹204 crore in H1 FY26.
The pharmaceutical company's investor presentation showed year-on-year topline growth of about 29.2%. Revenue had stood at ₹180 crore in H1 FY25 and ₹204 crore a year later before rising to the latest level.
Operating profitability also improved.
EBITDA increased to ₹61 crore in H1 FY27 from ₹47 crore in the corresponding period last year. The EBITDA margin was 23.2%, against 23.1% in H1 FY26 and 22.4% in H1 FY25.
Profit after tax came in at ₹34 crore, compared with ₹24 crore a year earlier. PAT margin increased to 13.1% from 11.7%.
Gross Margin Expands to 56.2%
Beta Drugs also reported an improvement in gross margin, which rose to 56.2% from 51.4% year-on-year.
Branded oncology remained one of the main contributors to growth. Revenue from this business increased 17% to approximately ₹71 crore in H1 FY27 from ₹60 crore in H1 FY26. The company said its top 10 brands accounted for around half of total topline.
Nivian, one of its focus brands, generated revenue of ₹31 crore and recorded 75% year-on-year growth during the first half.
Contract manufacturing, or CMO, generated ₹95 crore of revenue and grew 21%, which the company attributed to new customer additions and deeper supply relationships.
The API business grew by about 30%. Beta expects new API capacity to become operational during Q4 FY27.
Export Business Reaches ₹43 Crore
Export formulations contributed ₹43 crore during H1 FY27.
Beta said it filed 76 dossiers during the period and received 35 approvals across markets including Colombia, Peru, Jordan, Ethiopia and Tanzania. Its total registration base stood at 415, with a further 872 registrations in the pipeline.
The numbers also provide context to the company's earlier FY27 outlook. Beta had previously indicated that it was targeting revenue of around ₹530 crore for FY27, with an EBITDA margin of approximately 24%, driven by branded products and exports.
H1 FY27 revenue of ₹263 crore therefore represents close to half of that earlier full-year revenue expectation. Actual full-year performance will depend on business trends during the remaining two quarters.
