Shares of Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, fell 3% in early trade on September 29 after a large block transaction involving around 1.4 crore shares.

The shares exchanged hands at ₹450 apiece, taking the total value of the transaction to about ₹643.4 crore. The deal represented roughly 4.4% of the company’s equity. The transaction price was around 3.4% below the stock’s previous closing level.

Following the deal, Honasa Consumer shares were trading near ₹452 during the morning session. The stock was among the top losers on the BSE 500 and Nifty 500 and also featured among the more actively traded counters on the BSE and NSE.

Buyers and Sellers Not Immediately Known

The identities of the buyers and sellers involved in the block transaction were not immediately clear.

The deal followed a September 28 report that Peak XV Partners, Sequoia Capital and Redwood Trust were likely to sell a combined 2.73% stake in Honasa Consumer through a block transaction.

The proposed sale was earlier expected to be worth up to ₹400 crore, with a floor price of ₹450 per share. That price represented a discount of up to 3.4% to the prevailing market price. The earlier report also indicated a 45-day lock-up period for the sellers on further share sales.

The transaction that eventually took place was larger, with approximately 4.4% of Honasa Consumer’s equity changing hands for ₹643.4 crore.

Peak XV Held 14.8% Stake

As of the end of the June quarter, Peak XV Partners was Honasa Consumer’s largest non-promoter shareholder with a 14.8% stake.

Sequoia Capital Global Growth Fund III held around 3.44% in the company, according to the shareholding data cited in the report.

Honasa Consumer Stock Up Nearly 60% in 2026

Despite the decline on September 29, Honasa Consumer shares have risen about 59.4% so far in 2026. Over the same period, the Nifty 50 has declined 13.3%.

At the prevailing share price cited in the report, Honasa Consumer’s market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹14,750 crore.

The company’s recent financial performance has also improved. Honasa Consumer reported a net profit of ₹90.45 crore for the June quarter, more than double the figure recorded in the corresponding period a year earlier.

Revenue from operations increased 27% to ₹755.94 crore during the quarter, while EBITDA more than doubled to approximately ₹110 crore.

The block transaction and the resulting movement in Honasa Consumer shares kept the Mamaearth parent’s stock among the actively watched counters during Tuesday’s trading session.
