Indian stock markets will remain closed on Thursday, March 26, 2026, on the occasion of Ram Navami, and no stocks, derivatives, or currency markets will be open for trading on that day, as per the holiday calendar of the Indian stock markets.

Market Holiday Details

Equity, derivatives, and currency segments on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BSE will remain closed for the full day on March 26. The market will resume on Friday, March 27, 2026.

In the commodity segment, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will remain closed during the morning session but will reopen for trading in the evening session on the same day.

The March 26 holiday is followed by another scheduled market closure on March 31, 2026, for Mahavir Jayanti, as per exchange data.

Prior to the festival, Indian stock indices rose on March 24. The BSE Sensex closed at 74,068.45, up by 1,372.06 points or 1.89%, while the NSE Nifty settled at 22,912.40, up by 399.75 points or 1.78%.
