Low price stocks: These scrips are locked in the upper circuit on February 28

The growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the worsening relationship of Russia with the West is hugely affecting the markets globally.
At 10.30 am on Monday, the Sensex fell by 700 points and was trading at 55,171.86 down by 686.66 points, or 1.23% and the Nifty was down by 192.20 points or 1.15% at 16,466.20 levels, respectively. The growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the worsening relationship of Russia with the West is hugely affecting the markets globally.
The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are Tata Steel, BPCL, Power Grid Corporation of India, Hindalco Industries, and Coal India. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are HDFC Life Insurance Company, Eicher Motors, SBI Life Insurance Company, and Maruti Suzuki.
BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 22,970.28 down by 1.04%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Apollo Hospital, ICICI Securities, and Jindal Steel. Each of these scrips gained more than 2%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Biocon, Endurance Technologies, and Zee Entertainment Enterprise Limited.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 26,299.01 down by 0.57%. The top three gainers are Future Enterprises, Future Supply Chain Solutions, and Orient Bell. Each of these stocks gained more than 12%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Rain Industries, Onmobile Global, and Kuantum Papers.
Almost all the sectoral indices on the BSE are down except for BSE Metal, BSE Oil & Gas, BSE Power, and BSE Basic Materials, which are trading in the green. The stocks of BPCL, HPCL are seen outperforming the markets.
