Q4 Earnings Highlights: RVNL Profit Drops 59%; Hitachi Energy Posts Strong Growth

Quarterly earnings announcements gathered pace on May 26 as companies across infrastructure, industrials, financial services and energy sectors released their March quarter results or prepared to declare earnings later in the session.

Rail Vikas Nigam reported a 58.9% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit at ₹187.1 crore for the fourth quarter. Revenue from operations, however, rose 4.2% to ₹6,695.9 crore compared with ₹6,427.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Other income declined to ₹85 crore from ₹187.4 crore.

Hitachi Energy India posted a strong operational performance for the March quarter. Net profit increased 79.7% year-on-year to ₹330.5 crore, while revenue climbed 46.2% to ₹2,754 crore from ₹1,883.7 crore a year earlier.

Among other earnings announcements, Awfis Space Solutions reported a 107% jump in consolidated profit to ₹23.2 crore. Revenue rose 20.7% to ₹410.1 crore.

Pine Labs posted a consolidated profit of ₹59.4 crore against a loss of ₹28.9 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue for the quarter increased 17% to ₹700.5 crore.

Suprajit Engineering recorded a 161.1% rise in consolidated profit at ₹71.1 crore, supported by an 18.8% increase in revenue to ₹1,041.9 crore.

On the other hand, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail reported a wider consolidated loss of ₹148.4 crore for the quarter compared with a loss of ₹16.87 crore in the previous year. Revenue increased 15.7% to ₹1,990.1 crore.

Companies Announcing Results Today

Several companies are scheduled to release their March quarter results on May 26, including Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, Siemens, General Insurance Corporation of

India, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Brainbees Solutions and JK Tyre & Industries.
Authum Investment & Infrastructure, Astra Microwave Products and Jubilant Ingrevia are also expected to announce quarterly numbers later today.

Investors are likely to track management commentary on demand trends, margins, order inflows and capital expenditure plans as earnings season enters its final phase. Volatility continues in commodity prices and global markets and banking, infrastructure, energy and manufacturing sectors are still in focus.
