Several companies remained on investors’ radar on May 25 after reporting their March quarter earnings, with power major NTPC, auto manufacturer Eicher Motors and pharmaceutical firm Divi’s Laboratories posting year-on-year profit growth, while Concord Enviro Systems reported pressure on margins and earnings.
NTPC Reports Higher Profit
NTPC posted a consolidated net profit of ₹10,615 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, registering a rise of 34.4% from ₹7,897.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations stood at ₹49,687.8 crore, marginally lower than ₹49,833.7 crore reported a year earlier.
The company recorded a tax write-back of ₹9,062.1 crore during the quarter compared with tax expenses of ₹2,725.6 crore in the year-ago period.
For the full financial year FY26, NTPC reported standalone profit after tax of ₹23,162 crore, up 18% from ₹19,649 crore in FY25. Adjusted profit after tax rose 8% to ₹19,530 crore.
The company’s installed capacity stood at 89,108 megawatts as of March 31, 2026, after adding 9,618 megawatts during the year. Renewable energy capacity additions came in at 4,738 megawatts.
NTPC’s group capital expenditure increased to ₹49,068 crore in FY26 from ₹44,636 crore in FY25. The company also announced a final dividend of ₹3.50 per share, taking the total FY26 dividend payout to ₹9 per share.
Eicher Motors, Divi’s Labs Post Growth
Eicher Motors reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,520 crore for the March quarter, marking an increase of 11.6% from ₹1,362.2 crore a year ago. Revenue rose 16% year-on-year to ₹6,080.1 crore against ₹5,241.1 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Divi’s Laboratories also reported higher earnings during the quarter. Consolidated net profit rose 13.4% year-on-year to ₹751 crore compared with ₹662 crore in Q4FY25. Revenue increased 9.5% to ₹2,831 crore from ₹2,585 crore.
Colgate-Palmolive India reported a marginal decline in quarterly profit. Net profit slipped 0.5% year-on-year to ₹353.3 crore, while revenue increased 9.1% to ₹1,595.4 crore.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals posted a 21.9% decline in consolidated profit at ₹389 crore for the quarter. However, revenue from operations grew 41.8% year-on-year to ₹4,197 crore.
Hindalco Profit Impacted By Exceptional Loss
Hindalco Industries reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,597 crore for Q4FY26, down 50.9% from ₹5,284 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s revenue increased 20.4% year-on-year to ₹78,133 crore. During the quarter, Hindalco reported an exceptional loss of ₹4,171 crore compared with exceptional gains of ₹6 crore in the year-ago period.
Concord Enviro Margins Under Pressure
Concord Enviro Systems reported a consolidated net profit of ₹14.7 crore for the March quarter, down 69.7% from ₹48.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue remained largely stable at ₹206 crore compared with ₹210 crore a year earlier. EBITDA declined sharply to ₹18.5 crore from ₹58.9 crore, while EBITDA margin narrowed to 8.98% from 28.46%.
