Key Earnings Announcements
Tata Power Company reported a 0.6% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit at ₹1,194.3 crore for the December quarter, while revenue declined 9.4% to ₹13,948.4 crore, as per exchange filings. NHPC posted a 5.2% fall in profit to ₹219.1 crore and a 2.9% drop in revenue to ₹2,220.7 crore.
Trent reported a 2.7% rise in profit at ₹510.1 crore, with revenue increasing 14.8% to ₹5,345 crore. Cummins India saw profit decline 13% to ₹486 crore, while revenue slipped 1.3% to ₹3,054.9 crore, along with an exceptional loss of ₹126.54 crore. Apollo Tyres recorded a 39.5% jump in profit to ₹470.5 crore and an 11.8% rise in revenue to ₹7,743.1 crore.
Metropolis Healthcare reported a 32% rise in profit to ₹41.4 crore and a 25.8% increase in revenue to ₹405.9 crore. The company’s board also approved the issuance of bonus equity shares in a 3:1 ratio, according to its regulatory filing.
Corporate Developments
Marico announced that it has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a 60% stake in Cosmix Wellness for ₹225.67 crore, as per its stock exchange disclosure. Power Grid Corporation of India said the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has approved the amalgamation of 17 subsidiaries into two subsidiaries.
Sterlite Technologies informed exchanges that its board will meet on February 7 to consider fundraising through equity shares, warrants, or convertible securities via a preferential issue to promoters.
Bulk And Block Deals
In a bulk deal, Societe Generale acquired 5.02 lakh shares, representing a 0.68% stake, in Gokaldas Exports at ₹807.18 per share for ₹40.5 crore, according to exchange data.
In block deals, BNP Paribas Financial Markets acquired 20.91 lakh shares of Aditya Birla Capital at ₹344 per share for ₹71.93 crore and purchased shares in Federal Bank, Indian Bank and National Aluminium Company (NALCO), while Societe Generale was the seller, as per stock exchange disclosures.

Several stocks including Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Gail (India) and Dr Lal PathLabs are trading ex-dividend today, while PVV Infra is trading ex-date for rights entitlement.
